Medical director: Doc. Cinchini Elisabetta
On 9 November 2024, the Associazione Italiana Donne Medico (AIDM, Ferrara section) will organise an innovative event at the Aula Magna of Palazzo Trotti Mosti, with the support of the Casa di Cura Quisisana, entitled ‘Gender inequalities to the detriment of male health’.
The aim is to update health professionals on these differences, to analyse in depth the diseases that can create gender inequalities in diagnostic and therapeutic approaches.
The course will open with a reflection on the multifactorial nature of the male phenotype, followed by talks on male precocious puberty, PCOS-like syndrome in men, and male idiopathic infertility. A relevant topic will be male osteoporosis, often considered an exclusively female disease, but which in men remains under-diagnosed, increasing the risk of complications.
The course is part of the transition towards Healthcare 5.0, which promotes a healthcare system based on sustainability, technological humanism, and active patient participation.
The day will end with a discussion between participants and speakers, followed by the completion of the CME questionnaire, which is necessary for the award of 9.1 training credits. Thanks to this, the AIDM will recognise the importance of constant updating on emerging topics such as gender medicine.
Participation fees are divided into:
- A.I.D.M. members in good standing, Supporting Members: free of charge
- All accredited professional figures: € 50.00
- Non-accredited professionals and auditors: € 25.00
